WHERE DID WE GET THE NAME "SAINTS OF VIRTUE"?
Way back before we started this game, we brainstormed to try to think of a name for the game. We had a good idea of the game - a journey into the human heart - but did not know what to call it. We wanted something cool and not corny and we wanted something descriptive of the game. We did want people to think when they heard the name that it is not your usual "dark" and violent game and that it has Christian and spiritual themes.

Some of the early names we had included: "Holy Warrior", "Realm of the Heart", "Bible Hero", "Bible Crusader", and "Heavenly Realms". We used Holy Warrior for a while, but it never stayed because it sounded too "combat"-oriented and possibly too "violent". So, we chose "Saints of Virtue" and the more we used it, the more it stuck. We thought it really hit the mark as to what each of us as Christians are to be. We, who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, are really Saints because we have the Holy Spirit inside of us. And God wants us pursuing the right and good things - actions of virtue. So "Saints" + "Virtue" => Saints of Virtue.

THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT
Within Saints of Virtue the Word of God is represented by a flaming sword that can hurl incredible bursts of power. When used skillfully, this awesome weapon becomes an effective way to defeat the worldly tendencies that block your path.

Did you know that the Bible is a much more powerful weapon than a fire-spitting sword could ever be? The Bible isn't a man-made weapon created as a physical instrument of human warfare… it's actually ALIVE! Check this out!!

The Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4:12-13

God's word is powerful! It has the power to seek out and cut away our internal tendencies to indulge the flesh. Even if we don't even know it's there. Nothing can be hidden from God.

Saints of Virtue portrays the ability of God's word to overcome temptations and worldliness within the heart of every believer. Remember, just like in the game, familiarity and practice with the Sword of the Spirit will increase your skill and efficiency in dealing with your own personal internal struggles. Why not get out your Bible and practice your swordsmanship today?

ARE YOU STUCK IN THE GAME?
Here's a few of the most requested hints for the game. Don't peek unless you really need the help.
1. Getting out of the turnstile maze….
This may be the toughest part of the game. What is key to solving this is trying to get your bearings. One way to do this is by using a rock (or rocks) that you find in the Twisty Maze. You can drop the rocks and then use your map (TAB key) to see the object. When you spin around, look at the map and re-orient yourself. Another key to solving this maze is to realize that it is not an endless maze. There are end-points. You can notice when you hit the edge of the maze by the exitway being very dark - compared to the other exitways. When you first walk in to the maze, you will notice where you came in…it is really dark exit. Use this knowledge to go forward a few rooms. Then drop a rock and use it as your guide.

2. Finding the secret room in the Gallery…
If you enter the gallery, go past the four-way intersection with the dias, and then straight ahead into the room with statues. Then go left, enter that room, and go left. You will now be in a room with one huge statue that fills half the room. Somewhere on the far edge you will find a secret door. You can try opening a secret door by hitting the SPACEBAR (to open).

WEBSITES TO CHECK OUT
Here's some cool websites that we found. If you haven't explored them yet, take a look:
#1 ScreenIt gives reviews and parental guidance on movies. Really good insight and reviews. (I have used this to know which movies to go to and which to avoid this past summer. -dave)

#2 BeyondExtreme is a great magazine that is geared for teenage and college people.

#3 What In The World is Satan Doing? From RBC is quite good. Ever think about what Satan is doing in this world and how he works?

#4 A wild music website can be found at Squinterland. It's the home of Squint Entertainment…from the mind of the wild Steve Taylor (anyone remember I Predict 1990 or I Want To Be A Clone?). They manage artists like Sixpence None The Richer.

DON'T HAVE THE GAME, YET?
We offer the game on our website for $29.99 with free shipping. Go here.
You can also purchase the game at many Christian bookstores. If your local Christian bookstore doesn't have it, then ask them to order it!
